My style is like a portrait, my body is a canvas and my clothes are brushes of paint. Everyday it’s a new painting the world gets to see.
We would like to thank you for supporting Jesus Mendoza in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
I never grew up in one specific place all my life, while I’d lived the longest in San Diego, I’ve been in different parts of the county, if u take a trip south of the border towards Tijuana I can recall my old houses, like wise located in different parts of the city. Go even further down Mexico and a beautiful state named Nayarit is also a place I call home. So I’d say that’s my style, all over the place and with each area giving me a unique influence.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
I have two clothing brand ideas, my dream would be to see one on a fashion runway, as it’s more directed towards high fashion, but the other idea I have is more directed towards the youth, more specifically the kids from my area and those who assimilate my reality. Seeing those same kids who used to rock Polo, Nike, True Religion, etc, now also integrating my brand into that niche.
What would you do with $20,000?
I really don’t have a clue of what I’ll do with the money, but something I will for sure do when I get the 20k is just stare at it, feel it in my hand, I always count my dollar bills as hundreds and now I can finally see my manifestation come true. I feel like that feeling to me is more important than the feeling of me spending the money.
