Style. that's a broad category i know, but i like it that way, because there's room for playfulness, invention ... how it makes me feel
We would like to thank you for supporting Jason Tan in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
Gosh, i don't know. i'd be curious to see what others have to say. i like to be .. bold, daring, outside of the box. I don't have any set style. Each day, I see myself as a blank canvas, and whatever choices i have in my wardrobe & accessories collection: my palette. My hands are my paintbrush, creating my "art" (look) as I go. Art isn't just a marvellous sculpture at the Louvre or a charming cartoon caricature from a sidewalk artist in Paris. Art is everywhere. Including in fashion. One's OOTD.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
It's a definite tie between being able to be in the audience at a high profile, glitzy, glamorous, celebrity-studded fashion show, by a famous/popular/iconic designer. And being featured in a photoshoot, on the cover of a groovy fashion mag. At this very moment, i couldn't choose just 1. It'd be difficult to the point of creating stress. 😉 And, ya know, we all don't want that. Creating positive moments, positive vibes, this dream fashion moment you speak of ... that is what i'm here for.
What would you do with $20,000?
At this point, I couldn't imagine having that much money. But if I did, well, it goes a long way in changing/making a positive diff in all areas of my life. i'd be able to buy designer clothes, add much more to my wardrobe, make changes to my living space, buy things i normally wouldn't be able to afford. But having all that is meaningless, to me anyways, if it's not shared with fellow human beings/those less fortunate. I'd make a donation to charity. like Unicef and/or a children's charity.
