What makes your style stand out?

My personal style is greatly influenced by my upbringing in Harlem, New York. I am inspired by my fashionable family members as well as NYC street style in general. I seek to push boundaries through unique thrifted clothing, vibrant accessories, and reworked garments. I am drawn to clothing items made of denim, alternative aesthetics, and dynamic makeup looks that represent what my timid personality cannot. I always strive to have my outfits communicate a message in whatever room I enter.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

My dream fashion moment is to be invited to a show for Milan Fashion Week. I have studied abroad in Italy twice (Spring 2024 in Milan and am currently enrolled as an FIT student attending classes at Polimoda in Florence) and have both stood outside and volunteered at few Milan Fashion Week events. Although I have spectated outside of fashion shows hosted by large fashion houses, it would be my dream fashion moment to finally recieve an invite to an actual Milan Fashion Week show.

What would you do with $20,000?

Receiving $20,000 would allow me to put money toward my tuition at FIT as well as invest in my personal fashion brand. Although the pandemic proved to be an incredibly challenging stage of uncertainty and social unrest, it provided me the opportunity to explore my interests and gain an appreciation for the art of clothes-making. The pandemic encouraged me to design clothing, and FIT is allowing me to elevate my skillset in the hopes of promoting diversity through my own brand one day.
