Passion and style collided through discovery of self. My love of, and for, horror, gore, the odd, the obscure, the macabre and… MAXIMALISM!
We would like to thank you for supporting Jada Coley in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
Accessorizing is my favorite way to make my style stand out! I am constantly on the look out for different pieces to coordinate looks with, but my favorite would be ties, which i collect! I’m always intrigued by finding new ways to wear things, specifically, in ways it which they weren’t meant to be. I pride myself on being able to wear one piece all week and the outfit never feels OR looks the same.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment would not only be to model for, but have been able to meet the late Vivienne Westwood. She was my very first designer inspiration, I LIVE for grunge and how it can be so freeing, seeing what influence she had for the punk era felt like a breath of cigarette air and a bandaid over a skinned knee that was still profusely bleeding underneath. I would love to be an ambassador for her brand and have the opportunity to embody her vision.
What would you do with $20,000?
I would take the time to build my portfolio, to collaborate with different artists whose inventiveness can mesh with my innovation and creativity. I would also begin to start working on the visuals for my music, creating videos and covers for my work and begin to push it to a wider audience. It would truly help a 25 year old, Black Queer Dog Walker, who utilizes the outdoor factor of their job as a platform to present their fashion, to explore my passions even further without financial burden.
