I'm passionate about style because its my form of expression. It's my way of showing the world my personality without speaking.
What makes your style stand out?
My roots stemming from West Africa (Ivory Coast) is key element in my styling. My style stands out because it is a powerful, walking synthesis of Abidjan's vibrant energy and Parisian haute couture, all worn with the triumphant, life-affirming spirit of Coupé-Décalé. It's not just about what I wear, but the story I tell by wearing it. My style is the fusion of music, fashion and art. From the brands (JPG,RAF Simons,RICK OWENS) to the silhouette(my physique) to my soul.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment is to style runway Parisian haute couture brands. Essentially being the main stylist for a high fashion brand.
What would you do with $20,000?
I would most likely invest this money into my business partner Mitch Kalungi (who attends Parsons School of Design) brand. His brand focuses on using eco friendly materials to make clothing pieces. Our roots stemming from Africa drives us to give back to less fortunate communities around Africa. Honouring our ancestors through using natural resources and up cycling is a major footnote in the brands identity.
