Since childhood, style has been my passion and my voice. It’s what inspired me to become a fashion designer today.
What makes your style stand out?
My style is simple: it’s me. Sophisticated, versatile, and unique, but never trying too hard. Whatever I wear just feels right, not just in size but in spirit, because it matches my energy and personality. I love that my style flows effortlessly with who I am. It’s not forced or overdone, it’s authentic. My style is a reflection of confidence, ease, and individuality, and I know that’s what makes it stand out.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment is leading a brand that lasts, one that shapes culture and gives women clothing that matches their ambition and energy. As a Black woman, I don’t often see faces like mine at the helm of luxury fashion, and changing that is part of my vision. I want to be recognized as a powerful woman building something bigger than style, a brand that proves women can be ambitious, multifaceted, and unapologetically becoming.
What would you do with $20,000?
I would use $20,000 to amplify my voice and further my brand, Izayla. In fashion today, visibility is everything, if people don’t see you, they can’t believe in you. For me, that means bold storytelling, powerful content, and intimate brand dinners where people can truly experience my vision up close. I want to show the world not just my style, but my point of view, and invite them into the world I’m building. That’s how I’ll take Izayla to the next level.
