"Style Rooted in Legacy, Worn with Purpose."
What makes your style stand out?
My mother and grandmother taught me that style is not just about appearance—it’s about identity, respect, and presence. That foundation shaped the way I approach fashion today: with grace, purpose, and authenticity. As an administrator, I use style as a tool to communicate and connect. Whether I’m in a classroom, a boardroom, or the community, what I wear reinforces the message I want to deliver. My style stands out because it’s not trend-driven—it’s values-driven.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Standing on stage, addressing a diverse audience of women, especially Black women, about leadership, confidence, and self-worth after age 40. I would wear an outfit that reflects the grace, presence, and strength my mother, a Guatemalan Mayan, and my grandmother, an African-Panamanian, instilled in me. While it may incorporate current trends, its true essence would honor my roots and purpose. I envision something timeless and elegant an outfit that conveys, “I see you" and "you belong here."
What would you do with $20,000?
First and foremost, I will establish a scholarship for a single mother pursuing a career in fashion at a local college. I will also allocate the remaining funds to cover some personal bills and confidently invest in a high-quality suit along with a pair of stylish dress shoes.
