I use style as a mirror to express how I’m feeling in that time of my life. That way when I look back at memories, I know how I was feeling.
What makes your style stand out?
The truth is, I never set out to “stand out.” I never worried about looking like the people around me, and maybe that’s exactly why I always stood out unintentionally. From a young age, I used fashion as my armor and my voice. Even when kids teased me for caring too much about clothes, or for being “different,” I never let it stop me. They’d whisper, they’d laugh, or they’d treat me like something to fear. But I figured out quickly: they can’t scare me if I scare them first.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
To be embraced for the very things I was once teased or doubted for would be the ultimate victory. Fashion has always been my way of telling the world who I am without saying a word, and my dream moment would be when the world finally responds with understanding, respect, and celebration. That recognition would mean my authenticity not only stood out, but truly connected.
What would you do with $20,000?
My mom is my hero, and if I had $20,000, I’d give it all to her. After losing my dad, she’s carried the weight of our childhood home alone—the same home where every memory of love, family, and sacrifice still lives. She gave everything to raise me, and now it’s my turn to give back. This money would let her retire, pay off the last of the mortgage, and finally rest knowing she’s cared for—just as she’s always cared for me.
