What I love the most about clothes, is that they are a vehicle of self expression. We get to tell the world who we are, and how we feel!
What makes your style stand out?
It is uncompromisingly, and unapologetically me. Authenticity, in my opinion, is the barometer for personal style. I never try to be or emulate anyone else, even though, I am constantly inspired by other people's style. I like to be diverse in the way that I dress, there is so much beauty that materializes in so many different styles. Sometimes I love to go for a timeless look with a simple yet classic color palette. There are other times when I just want to feel loud and fabulous.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
I would love to have the opportunity to speak to a designer, and have an existential conversation about the social impact fashion has. Coco Chanel played a big role in a movement empowering women through the change of cut and silhouette in the early 20th century. Monsieur Dior revolutionized fashion by re-embracing and celebrating the feminine silhouette, following the hardship and shortages of WWII. Conversing with one of these artists, dead or alive, famous or unknown would be very special.
What would you do with $20,000?
I would use most of it to continue building an investment for retirement with my husband (I know, boring), a bit for some much needed home repairs, but I would be a little bad and splurge a little on an absolutely fabulous piece of clothing!
