I am passionate about style because it protects my wellbeing. I like to think of my style as armor so I can walk through life authentically.
What makes your style stand out?
My style stands out because I weave Indigenous fashion into my outfits to honor my Indigenous heritage. For me, clothing is more than appearance; it is a statement that we (Indigenous people) are still here and thriving. Each piece connects me to my ancestors and represents resilience, creativity, and pride. But what truly defines my style is the confidence, joy, and humility that I carry with it.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment would be to be able to model/walk for major fashion houses across the globe. I would love to be able to walk in New York, Milan, Paris, and Tokyo Fashion Weeks. I would also love to become an editorial model and see myself on billboards. I want to show my ancestors that everything they did in the last seven generations was to get me where I am today, and I would hope to inspire other Native people by showing them that they can achieve things they never thought possible.
What would you do with $20,000?
$5,000 would be donated to my student organization, Haskell Runway, at Haskell Indian Nations University, so that we could put on our third Indigenous fashion show. $1,000 would be donated to the Elton John Aids Foundation, and the remainder would be split between the investment in my future as an Indigenous jewelry designer and relocating to New York City to begin my Master's program in social work so I can serve the Indigenous community.
