What makes your style stand out?

For my every-day style I stand out because I like to mix things that don't generally go together. A delicate cardigan with heavy-set shorts, or a lacey dress with knarly jeans. But for my REAL style--my ceramic animal heads are really poems. My Hyena representing social anxiety, my pig head representing the horrors of womanhood, etcetera. I like to think that my art is unique in the way that clay is worn. It's like the wearer becomes part of the sculpture.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

I'd love to recreate something as iconic as Lady Gaga's meat-dress moment. The same glamorized nastiness is what I strive for. My art teacher, Mr. Medina, told me, "Nobody would wear that pig as a purse except Lady Gaga." I take this as not only a compliment, but ultimately as a goal.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would pay for my education as well as buy more materials to make more art-fashion fusion pieces. This is what I'm meant to do with my life. I don't want money to be a worry when I make art. I want to explore everything so I can make the best art possible. This is my purpose in life.
