What makes your style stand out?

My style is inspired by elegant ladies and perfumery. Fashion and fragrances give me freedom to be my best self. I am originally from the land of samba but I take inspiration in some of the following elegant ladies: Grace Kelly, Lady Diana, Carmen Mayrink Veiga, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Trinny Woodall, Laura Pausini, and others. I am inspired by Italian and British fashion houses.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

My dream fashion moment would be to attend a Versace fashion show. As a loyal fan of Sir Elton John, I would love to meet the fashion icon himself as well as a fashion moment. My mom and I are fans of him. We read his biography and our favorite part was the page about his disagreement with Tina Turner over his preference for Versace and her recommendations on Armani.

What would you do with $20,000?

I am already grateful to be part of the selection. If awarded the prize, I would use part of the money to enhance my personal contribution to meaningful causes. I am a nurse and I volunteer for multiple nonprofit organizations in the Boston area which service the homeless, women’s health and many other social causes. I would also buy a few fashion items because a girl has got to do what she loves to do. Finally, I would do something special for my mom because this award would be ours.
