I love to create/sew and make the images in my mind a reality. My ideal career would be as a costume designer to tell story through clothes!
What makes your style stand out?
Vibrancy, texture, and color. I love color coordination and cool/nice feeling texture and accessories galore! I also love to wear a variety of styles such as 60s mod, whimsigoth, punk, Winx Club inspired, etc etc! I’ve loved fashion since I was 14. I’d go to school in wedding gowns and clown makeup, carrying faux heads and fashioning skirts out of shirts. Sometimes it was a hot mess, but it was expressive when I didn’t feel like doing so vocally. I love a tutu, a silly trinket, rainbows and fun!
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Well, my fashion dream would be to have more time to create what I love or to get to style for a film or tv show or theatre. My favourite movies/tv shows costume wise are Clueless, Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, Buffy, Firefly, Winx Club cartoon, Jawbreaker, Bratz cartoon, Barbie (most of the BCU and the live action), Poison Ivy (1992), 13 Going on 30, Legally Blonde, Marie Antoinette, and Ghost World. I do love funky modern costumes mucho! Oh, wearing archival Thierry Mugler would be a dream!
What would you do with $20,000?
Save it to buy a house. I live with my parents and it’s pretty stressful. I’ve been saving for a while, but winning 20 grand would definitely be a blessing and a boost to get where I want to be and have a home of my own someday. It feels really impossible in this day, but I’m trying to stay positive and hopeful.
