Style is a language. It’s a way to communicate your tastes and sensibilities through visual cues. So, my photos say more than I could.

What makes your style stand out?

From what others tell me, my style stands out because I find my own happy medium between values: femme vs butch, adopting trends vs personal style, form vs function. I love pushing boundaries for the sake of authenticity, but there's an art to keeping things grounded. I'm a maximalist who appreciates simplicity. Although it is made easy for my style to stand out, as a guy who wears (real) colors. The hard part is making it look good. Did I succeed?

What’s your dream fashion moment?

Since we're being dreamers, my dream fashion moment would be to actually land a job almost anywhere in fashion. Well, anywhere with growth potential, especially in a design capacity, where I can one day feel like my tastes or my art inspired someone. If that someone were my mother, I could finally make her proud. She taught me how to sew when I was 5, and while I still alter and customize most of my garments, she always strongly disapproved of me, as a boy, pursuing a career in fashion.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would put it toward continuing my education, maybe go to fashion school abroad. $20,000 could get me a lot further in Europe than in California. I regret getting a degree in business, especially with the abysmal job market I graduated into more than a year ago. I had convinced myself that an education in business would be a good stepping stone to eventually break into fashion, or even start my own business. Now I find myself having no connection or direction toward my passion for fashion.
