I’m passionate about style as quiet storytelling, 60s-inspired simplicity, iconic frames, and timeless elegance that speaks volumes.
We would like to thank you for supporting Emma Laraby in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style stands out because it blends nostalgia with modern refinement, vintage silhouettes reimagined through clean lines, subtle textures, and intentional details. I focus on timeless elegance rather than fleeting trends, crafting looks that tell a story of quiet confidence. It’s a balance of simplicity and sophistication, creating a personal style language that feels both classic and refreshingly current.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment is to step back into the world I once left behind, where I first sketched as a fashion illustrator and later created as a designer. A decade ago I abandoned that dream, but now my greatest moment would be to relive it with even more fire, to design fearlessly, and to finally embrace the passion I should have never let go of.
What would you do with $20,000?
With $20,000, I would reclaim the dream I was once forced to leave behind. I’d use it to rebuild my path in fashion, starting with the tools, fabrics, and space to create a small collection that carries my vision. Beyond the materials, it would give me the chance to return to the work I love with full dedication, to show that even when life pushes us away, passion can bring us back stronger.
