What makes your style stand out?

my eclectic & defiant styling of conventional & non-conventional clothing coupled with my experience in clothing design enables me to produce cohesive looks & a message, making my style stand out. i make it a daily challenge to exercise different looks, not playing safe while still staying authentic to the many phases of fashion styles i have been a part of & contributed to. i will push boundaries, combining old & new styling, using good taste to unlock fashions true potential

What’s your dream fashion moment?

having the opportunity to lead a storied fashion house as a creative director would be a dream. as a student to the art of fashion for many decades & grounded from humble beginnings I will be able to usher in a renaissance in fashion using my honed editing eye. no one understanding the vision before & no direct support from an agency or label has not discouraged me, it motivated me. big designers have copied my work, flattering but no credit given so this win will be one step towards vindication

What would you do with $20,000?

with everyone’s support i’ll be putting the prize money towards my next collections & investing in a pr team that can understand the vision & execute the brand’s code to scale bringing substantial results to the brand awareness & advancing fashion forward. that in turn will open up new possibilities for the institution of fashion & with defiant irreverence, subvert the expected fashion timeline to something completely exciting & different
