Fashion is expression. Fashion brings confidence, fashion brings personality, fashion brings uniqueness in a world of normal. I am fashion.
What makes your style stand out?
I draw inspiration from street style and preppy aesthetics with layering and a tinge of gaudiness. I tend to style myself with embellishments, fun patterns, and remember to complete a look with fine details; everything matters. The jewelry, the haircut, the socks, the bag, and even the undergarments. Everything is important when you’re a stylist. Intention is fashion. I tend to mix masculine and feminine styles to invoke a sense of androgyny in my looks. Nothing is off limits.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment would be to attend or style for the Met Gala or a great award show. Working as a stylist helps me understand how to make anyone feel confident, and that’s all I want to do in the future. I love standing out, I’d love to prove that being unique is better than staying on trend. Working with fashion houses, walking red carpets and attending fashion shows are literally all I envision for myself and my future.
What would you do with $20,000?
I come from almost nothing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 20k would change literally everything about my lifestyle. It would help me clean up my debt, it would help me kick start my career in fashion and business. It would help me stay creative, giving me resources to do things I could only imagine. I’d be able to establish a home, nothing ever really felt like home growing up. I’d be able to prove to myself that showing up everyday as extra as possible has paid off. It wasn’t just a dream but reality
