Style is the most effective way we tell the world what we are about, when words fail us. If done right, it opens doors, convos, and minds.
What makes your style stand out?
“Those patterns and colours don’t go together!”. Sometimes this is the response I get from my outfits, more notably when I try something new— and I guess this is the hallmark of my style: daring, bold, and “out there”. To me, personal style isn’t formed in complacency or in blending in, but in getting out of your comfort zone. And THEN, its further formed when we choose to stay in the discomfort of others opinions, and forge ahead with our own experimentation.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment is in building a small community of people who wear my clothes not just for the appearance and quality, but also for the confidence it gives them to try something new in their day to day lives. Because fashion has never really been about the clothing, but rather— the culture that it represents of its community.
What would you do with $20,000?
I would go all in on launching my slow fashion line (streetwear clothing for gingers— of all ethnicities, genders, and backgrounds), with a clear objective of donating 1-5% of profits to social causes.
