What makes your style stand out?

There’s a positive vibration that I seek to project and I dress in service of that. When I'm in a crowd, my big hope is to illuminate and sparkle as much as possible- breaking up the static of a monochromatic room. I cherish hearing people say that they’re inspired by what I’m wearing. Fantastic style brings people out of themselves and their current reality, even if for a fleeting moment. My goal is to be the change of clothes I want to see in the word, to spark discourse and joy.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

Happily, I have lived many dream fashion moments and never stop dreaming of what fashions are to come. Each time I dress for an event, I fantasize about how I can compliment or juxtapose the narrative. My fashion dreams often involve word play, comedic elements and deep historical fashion references. To answer the question more literally, a dream fashion moment I wish to occur is to walk a couture runway or red carpet dressed by either Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Lacroix or Todd Oldham.

What would you do with $20,000?

The 20K would be used to fund a fashion lab/studio where I can formulate my fashion dreams in a bigger, brighter way. I currently reside in a tiny apartment that is chock full of garments, fabric and lots of massive dreams. This money would allow me to rent a studio that I would fully devote to creating garments and ensembles that my current space doesn’t allow for and I could also house the iconic archival pieces I have that I would love to turn into bigger, better iterations of themselves.
