Style is my voice without words—where faith, confidence, and creativity collide to show the world who I am, boldly and unapologetically.
We would like to thank you for supporting Detrich Burgess in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style is fluid, shifting with my spirit. One day it’s sharp and boardroom-ready, the next it’s red carpet drama, then an urban pulse that keeps me on trend. I don’t dress for categories, genders, or rules—I dress for the feeling. Whatever I wear, it wears me back.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment is to be stopped on the street, not for the label stitched inside my clothes, but for the way I embody them. To have someone gasp, assuming couture, only to learn it’s the everyday elevated by presence—that’s the kind of magic I want to wear.
What would you do with $20,000?
With $20k, I would join forces with my closest friend to create a styling company that redefines glamour for the everyday man and woman. Our mission wouldn’t be about dressing celebrities or chasing clout—it would be about honoring those who’ve endured life’s hardships, the blue-collar dreamers who deserve to shine. Imagine a factory worker or single mom stepping out for a date night and feeling like they’re gracing the Oscars red carpet—that’s the kind of transformation we’d bring to life.
