I love being able to use fashion and style as a way to tell a story of a person. My style and color that compliment darker tones.
We would like to thank you for supporting Destiny in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style stands out based on the colors I use to complement my skin tone. Since I am a dark skinned black woman, I use my style to not only highlight this fact but also to show how black women can be styled in various colors and patterns. My style has no era, but I try to find clothes that are comfortable to wear.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment is being able to see various shades and bodies of black women able to enjoy being in clothes that not only tell their story, but shine a light on black designers and creators. For instance, since leaving Love Island USA season 7, Olandria Carthen being dressed by Matthew and Reginald Reismann and exploring different shades and prints truly inspired me.
What would you do with $20,000?
I would put a lot of it in savings, but the rest I would fund my continued education in the arts. I want to continue my education in various creative fields, and fashion commentary and research is one of the avenues I would love to pursue.
