I love fashion, both in history and in creating for the future. I love being unique, and watching as others love it to and create a trend.
What makes your style stand out?
I try and pull from many different influences in fashion. I'm always looking for something funky and unique, especially at thrift stores. I also upcycle my own clothes so make them more me. I am very easily recognizable by the trademark things I wear, as well as my hair which I do myself. I love to research different eras as well as different styles to see what I want to bring back to incorporate, but I also love finding how it can inspire me for something new as well. I love 50s, and 80s styles
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My fashion dream is to be styling for artists like Blondie. I take large inspiration from Vivian Westwood, and love shock value, my deam is to be someone styling for things like concerts, or the met gala. I also dream to change how the fashion industry is seen, and almost take the runway back a few steps with more wearable looks and less shock value. I have a degree in hair, as well as have been taught from my family how to sew.
What would you do with $20,000?
If I'm being brutally honest I would pay of $10,000 on debt from hair school, then use the rest to help forward my career in being a personal stylist. For example I would upgrade my desk for making my upcycled clothes, I would also start selling items. No matter what happens in this competition I am grateful for this opportunity and hope even this can help be a foot in the door for my dreams.
