Dayniah Manderson

As a disabled woman, I often fall under society’s gaze. My style is a statement about who I am and how I make my way through the world.

What makes your style stand out?

My style stands out for it simplicity, elegance, and the way it complements my body type and complexion. I wear clothes that accentuate my figure in a modest way and I wear colors and shades that look good against my dark skin.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

I dream of designing a line of clothing that is accessible to the disabled women (wheelchair users) who are professionals or in the public eye. Having beautiful disabled women in my runway show would be a dream come true.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would pay down the balance on my daughter’s student loan.
