My style transcends past my canvas. It is a sacred invitation into my identity, my world, my life.
We would like to thank you for supporting David Tucker in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
I am an individual, I don’t look at my art as ways to stand out, I just simply want to be myself and whoever sees apart of themselves in my world is welcomed to experience that creation with me. I feel in a culture where media is influencing so many people, especially in my generation, I have gained enough self discipline to not attach my art to cultural validation. I’m not creating for the moment, I am creating for generations to come.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment would be modeling and shooting a wonderful beautiful campaign that shows my duality with my feminine/masculine energy. I create poetry, music, canvas art, I am a storyteller. I want that essence of me that essence of art to be brought back into culture. That’s what I love about Flaunt Magazine, storytelling is still alive. It’s inspirational and simply being apart of that would be a dream come true.
What would you do with $20,000?
I am a multifaceted creative and find it hard finding spaces in the physical to connect with people who also cherish art. So I want to open a cafe/speakeasy called “HUMN” (human) that is a meeting ground for creatives. I would love to host open poetry/mic nights that allow creativity and storytelling to be felt and experienced in person. I want it to be a sanctuary for artist to meet each other and create. I feel it’s important as an artist to share your experiences because it allows us to grow
