Style is my canvas, where Indigenous identity meets modern couture. Every design is storytelling, healing, and activism stitched into fabric
We would like to thank you for supporting Dante Biss-Grayson in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style stands out because it fuses couture with culture. Every piece carries a story — rooted in Indigenous traditions, elevated with modern design, and guided by sustainability and ethics. I’m not just creating garments, I’m creating conversations: about heritage, labor protections, and community-centered fashion. It’s this balance of high-fashion vision and cultural responsibility that makes my style distinct and unforgettable.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment is seeing Indigenous fashion on the world’s biggest stages — not as a trend, but as a pillar of the industry. Whether it’s Milan, Paris, or New York, I dream of models walking in designs that honor culture, carry stories, and prove that sustainability and ethics can define luxury. The moment isn’t just about me on a runway — it’s about opening the door for future generations of Indigenous designers to step onto it too.
What would you do with $20,000?
With $20K, I would invest in advocacy to reshape fashion from the inside out. My priority is developing legislation that protects and fairly pays models, hair and makeup artists, and all creatives who make the runway possible. Too often, their labor is undervalued — I want to change that. This funding would allow me to build momentum, convene allies, and push forward policies that ensure equity, dignity, and justice in fashion. For me, it’s about creating systemic change!
