My parents were “rabid” dressers. Nothing was ever out of place, the wrong color, the wrong style. I thrive on self presentation that pops.
What makes your style stand out?
I’m not a follower. I go with what I feel. What makes the client feel good, what gets a reaction, causes the client-to glow and captures the room so that they are certain that theirs was money well spent.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
One night I dreamed that I was in a long quarter with cameras everywhere and I had on a very feminine flowing ruffled pink gown, and in my heart, I could hear Aretha singing you make me feel like a natural woman.
What would you do with $20,000?
I’m a giver and all of my fashion is directed towards creating comfort for the client that sells so that I can fund the orphanages, churches, women’s empowerment programs and schools and Africa, India, the Philippines, and Bangladesh.
