What makes your style stand out?

When I am coming up with a concept, I immerse myself in a Pinterest board or a fashion book. First I come up with general themes, find similar stories told by fashion icons, and then add my own perspective. This often involves creating a universe, where music, looks, and choreography come together to immerse my audience. Born in Puerto Rico to model parents, and having lived in Tokyo for over 2 years, I like to incorporate elegant silhouettes, edited concepts and sleek designs into my looks.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

Just like I do with drag, I would love to assist in the creation of an immersive fashion universe for a major runway. My fashion icons are greats like Alexander McQueen, Rick Owens, and Comme des Garçons. These brands have always captured my imagination by focusing not only on the clothes, but on dramatic fashion "moments" which help to elevate the clothes to iconic status. My dream is to support the creative direction of a runway, while also participating in the show in full drag regalia.

What would you do with $20,000?

My partner is a fabulous up and coming designer based in San Francisco. Together we work tirelessly to bring unique concepts to life in the city, performing in venues like the Palace of Fine Arts, the Midway (I will be opening for RuPaul on Dec 27!), and art galleries such as the MoMA. I would use the money to jumpstart my fashion label with my partner. The timing is perfect as we are in the early stages of designing our brand and thinking about the clothing items we would like to start with.
