What makes your style stand out?
I am a global #UequalsUbuntu activist and scholar. My style embraces my universal love for all, the way how I relate with others through metta, and how I express engaged global citizenship through fashion with a purpose. While fashion is not often associated with activism or advocacy, the power of wearing clothing as beyond a daily necessity is that stylish clothing always grab attention. This makes fashion an extremely powerful medium & a tool for advocacy, community-building, and social change
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion #StyleIcon moment is to have a centrefold spread in Flaunt and strut the global stage with my idol, global style and music icon Kylie Minogue both wearing Versace’s Red Ribbon inspired bespoke awareness collection during Milan Fashion Week with while duetting “Sacrifice” with Sir Elton John and the EJAF Team in audience while we spread #Padam and the #UequalsUbuntu message across the universe! 💚🍉
What would you do with $20,000?
I will use the funds to complete my research-creation PhD dissertation and documentary on #UequalsUbuntu. Utilizing a positive-people centered autotheory theoretical framework, my study will examine the perceived value and practical use of #UequalsU to achieve #Ubuntu (shared humanity) for all living with and/or impacted by HIV. Study results and film will inform glocal HIV/AIDS policies, and further political commitments on HIV/AIDS and #UequalsUbuntu worldwide to help end AiDS 🌍💚🌏💗🌎🩵
