I reinvented myself during the pandemic - chasing a dream to create art - I’d love to share but if not picked rest assured I’ll keep going!
We would like to thank you for supporting Broderick Bebout in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style stands out for its balance of color, comfort, and approachability. I don’t consider myself particularly handsome, but I aim for tasteful, classic looks with just enough courage to keep things interesting— trying to add one fun detail that makes the outfit memorable.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment would be having true icons look at my art and give honest feedback—people who live and breathe aesthetics. Vanity hopes they’d love it, but the realist in me knows they may not, and that’s okay. What matters is the chance to share my work. I’d love to meet them just as I am: classic looks, flip-flops, shorts, a ball cap, and covered in pastel dust from creating.
What would you do with $20,000?
With $20,000 I’d move into a bigger, better studio and invest in equipment to elevate my work. I’ve been building a business plan to monetize my art, and this would help move it forward. But honestly, I’d also take my wife out for a really nice dinner—she’s been so supportive of this adventure. For that moment, I’d feel good knowing I’m making an impact.
