Raised by Bratz, Monster High & The Nanny, I see style as my favorite language—speaking values & mood with a look instead of words.
We would like to thank you for supporting Brenda DuBois in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
My style stands out because it’s not in. I’ve lived through plenty of eras where people just didn’t get it—and that’s okay, it was never meant for the in-the-box individual. My style isn’t a copy of what I’ve seen but an evolution of ideas, an expansion of the formula. It is the definition of out—I stand out, I call attention, and I balance it with an outstandingly welcoming personality I hope to share with as many people as possible.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Every day I learn that no matter how detailed my plans are, God always has His own vision—so I don’t focus on the “final picture,” but on the next step ahead. My dream moment would be putting myself out there in a way I never have before, yet staying true to my authentic self—and through that authenticity, being welcomed into exclusive fashion spaces because my identity is genuinely seen and adored.
What would you do with $20,000?
Well, I’m a saving girly at heart, so a good chunk would be tucked away untouched. But I’d definitely invest in my growth—traveling to study fashion textiles hands-on, learning directly from experts in creation, experimentation, sourcing, and handling. I’m already diving into Haute Couture practices, and this would push me further toward becoming not just a force of style, but of craft and knowledge too.
