What makes your style stand out?

I have always been a sore thumb where I grew up. I am the daughter of a USHJA show jumping trainer and found it hard to relate to my peers within my sport. I like to use my fashion to investigate the emotions and the experiences I have had and continue to have, as well as to dive into my relationships with others around me. I have embraced being possibly confusing and different, and enjoy finding ways to stand out, whether that be an avant garde costume piece, or simply a callback to the 80's.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

In my mind, my dream fashion moment would be just like anyone else's: having a lovely garment of my own making worn by an important someone to an important event. On a stage, in a ballet, on a carpet, on a runway, In a movie... In my heart, however, I would love to just sit with my mom on the farm and mend the holes on the horse blankets, or sew the buttons back onto her show coats.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would pursue my further education goals, I am currently a college student studying Art History and Studio Art. I hope to be able to receive my MFA at the Chicago Institute of Art and go on to pursue a PHD in History/Art History! I love the arts and I love how deeply they reflect our history as humankind, and knowing they are what have always and what will continue to be the backbone of our societies pushes me to investigate them further, to understand our past, present, and future.
