Anyone can buy fashion but not everyone possesses style. It is an extension of who I am, how I feel, and how I want others to perceive me.
What makes your style stand out?
I draw my inspiration from the world around me and the fashion icons in my life. I don't think of others when I get ready; I think of the little girl who lives inside me, dreaming of draping herself in beautiful fabrics and owning a pair of Manolos. Unapologetically being myself is what makes my style stand out because a piece of me shines through.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
More than anything, I dream of being invited to fashion week and connecting with others in the industry. I would like to meet and be dressed by a designer whose craft reflects their love for creation and all things style. I'd love to pick the designer's mind on things like: why they started designing, what inspired their collection, and how they did it.
What would you do with $20,000?
I'd definitely spend some on it on a new wardrobe! Although a majority of it will help me fund my master's degree, I am pursuing a master's in magazine and digital journalism next fall. My dream is to be invited to fashion week, interview a designer, and make a meaningful contribution to the fashion world.
