From fashion to cosplay, I care about expression, I proudly wear a mascara moustache as a trans guy. Alternative style is a lifelong love
What makes your style stand out?
My refusal to blend in. I’m incredibly bold in everything I do. If I’m not getting stared at, it’s back to the drawing board for me. I tried to fit in too much at one point in my life, now I’m adamant on always standing out. I dress non-traditionally and without gender norms, there will be masculine and feminine elements to almost any outfit I will create. My goal at the end of the day is to convey an aura of confusion and awe, and when I see people judging me, I know I’ve done it right.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Being given the opportunity to create an elaborate and entirely unique theatrical performance told through the story-telling of fashion. The abstract attracts me, what cannot be told in words is always compelling. Fashion is an artistry that conveys messages and importance beyond its beauty. Fashion design was a massive curiosity of mine as a kid that I wish I had properly explored sooner, but better late than never. I can only imagine how magical it would be.
What would you do with $20,000?
As a new adult, I’m looking towards my future. $20,000 would be life-changing for me, giving me a chance to start my life while maintaining freedom to nurture my style and passions. While I’m in school for social work, $20,000 would help me survive while being able to focus on my studies. I’ve also had a longstanding passion for the environment, and I’m not sure how realistic this is, but I’d want to use what’s left to leave a positive impact on the world around me.
