When shy, style expressed where words failed. Now bold, it helps me feel at home standing out as who I am & find likeminded creatives
We would like to thank you for supporting Ashlyn RoseHill in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
It's authentic. I pull from/mix around different styles- I don't believe in squeezing my personality into one box. I honor all parts of myself- and it shows in blends of lace, leather and "protective" spikes. I like to experiment and have fun with what I wear, and I think that peeks into how I live my life!
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment would be the day I step onto a stage and say "I made it." The thought of that moment is so incredibly motivating to me. Surviving through poverty, the foster system, abuse, depression and disability, I still chase each of my dreams, determined to build a life of joy and success. I hope I can inspire others to step forward- to show that they can have that "dream moment" even with the odds stacked against them; that embracing who you are is always worthwhile- bc you are!
What would you do with $20,000?
With $20,000 the goal wouldn't be just to spend it. To be blessed with that amount of money, it should be treated as such! I would set aside a portion to save, a portion to help out, and a portion to grow- and take care of my momma's bills! She deserves to relax. After seeing her struggle so much for my little sister and I, my biggest goal is to end that cycle for those I love and those who come after me.
