I’m passionate about style because it empowers me—transforming past judgment into bold expression of my queer + Indian identity.
What makes your style stand out?
My style stands out because it’s unapologetically eclectic—club-kid edge, bohemian chaos, and gender-play woven with South Asian vibrancy. Indian fashion is inherently loud and expressive, so in the nightlife scene I feel most myself, pairing traditional textures with flashy accessories and polished silhouettes. It’s a playful contradiction: messy yet intentional, flamboyant yet refined. I treat fashion as performance, storytelling, and rebellion all in one.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
When the first-ever South Asian Chicago Fashion Week held an open casting, I felt a spark—that chance alone was a dream fashion moment for me. Ultimately, my dream is to one day step onto a major stage where my presence inspires other South Asians who’ve been silenced or stigmatized. I want to embody what it means to live unapologetically queer, eccentric, and free from the limitations of a less progressive mother country.
What would you do with $20,000?
I’d use it to move to New York and launch my fashion journey—securing space for shoots, building collections, and collaborating with creatives. This isn’t just about me; it’s about representing South Asian queer voices in an industry that rarely makes space for us. With this support, I can turn my vision into impact and prove that unapologetic self-expression deserves the spotlight.
