Style makes someone memorable. Like Coco Chanel said,“Dress shabbily & they remember the dress; dress impeccably & they remember the woman.”
What makes your style stand out?
My style is a mix of Old Hollywood & the Oriental with a dark edge. A unique blend of vintage 1950s dresses with Asian & Middle Eastern traditional garments (like the kimono, qipao, saree, and caftan), all within the dark winter color palette (mainly black). I’m inspired by the glamor of Old Hollywood starlets & their mix of sexy yet classy garments. Also, I majored in East Asian studies & briefly lived in Tokyo, in which I bought most of these cultural outfits.
What’s your dream fashion moment?
My dream fashion moment is being on the cover of a top fashion magazine while wearing vintage couture, along with vintage or antique high jewelry to embody the essence of Elizabeth Taylor.
What would you do with $20,000?
I would use it to move back to Tokyo (which has been my goal for a long time since my time living there has been absolutely amazing), and to assist me in creating a career revolving around fashion and beauty.
