The use of simple, affordable, and thrifty pieces allows for versatility in my daily life as a mom, teacher, and student. I opt for comfortable statement pieces that turn heads and warm hearts!
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Obtaining my very first ‘regular’ styling client would be my dream moment. Providing a sense of confidence and joy to all, especially when that ‘aha!’ fashion moment happens fills me up and drives my work. Having someone that regularly trust me with their style? Priceless.
What would you do with $20,000?
I would use this prize on my current styling business, Style By Apella, to develop outreach programming, styling workshops/trainings for youth and adults, and utilize local Chicago designers to create a fashion line. This line (Apella’s Picks) would be a small collection of go-to fashion staples needed to help the everyday woman feel ‘Bold, Beautiful You’.
