Anissa Rochester

Style is my soul’s soundtrack—Vogue was my first verse, supermodels my chorus. Fashion lets me remix identity with flair.

What makes your style stand out?

Honestly, I think what makes my style stand out is the way I mix things that aren’t usually paired together. I love conservative pieces—structured blazers, clean lines, timeless silhouettes—but I always balance that with street style elements like oversized fits, sneakers, or bold graphics. Then I layer in a touch of glamour, whether it’s glossy lips, statement jewelry, or something metallic that catches the light.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

My dream fashion moment was attending New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park. It was my first time stepping into that world—interviewing designers, chatting with celebrities, and watching models glide down the runway. The energy, the creativity, the sheer magic of it all… I just knew. That was the moment I realized fashion wasn’t just something I loved—it was where I belonged.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I had $20,000, I’d use it to launch my own fashion and art program in Harlem, NYC. I’ve taught fashion in several youth programs before, but now I’m ready to build something of my own—something lasting. The program would focus on teaching kids the fundamentals of design, sketching, and visual art, while also giving them space to express themselves creatively. At the end of the year, we’d celebrate their growth with a full-on fashion show, where they could showcase their work.
