What makes your style stand out?

As a bigger girl who has modeled and competed in state pageants, getting to show off my style lets others know that just because you may not have the perfect ideal body doesn’t mean you can’t show off your perfect self. Many people look at me and think I wouldn’t do this because I’m insecure, but when you show others not to let that affect them, it creates a ripple effect that allows more body inclusivity in the fashion industry.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

My dream fashion moment would be to co-chair the Met Gala. I consider the Met Gala my favorite holiday because it gives designers a chance to show off some of their most creative pieces while also paying homage to designers that have come before them through the exhibit. I would love the opportunity to work with some of the best in fashion to put together this great event that supports such a great institution.

What would you do with $20,000?

Recently, at the age of 65, my dad was diagnosed with osteoporosis and COPD, and he also has a history of heart issues. Unfortunately, we live in a part of the U.S. that doesn’t have great healthcare, so I would use the $20,000 to get him access to some of the best doctors in the country so one day he can see me get married and meet his grandchildren.
