For me style is representative of the different phases in my life. I never purge my closest. Style should tell a story.
We would like to thank you for supporting Ameen Phillips in this years competition. Your participation allows us to empower the Elton John AIDS Foundation in their mission to end AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
What makes your style stand out?
I can pull anything off! But am a very humble, intuitive and introspective spirit too. My closet is complex like me. And my style has ADHD like me too ha! I don’t throw stuff away unless it’s unwearable, each thing I have is sentimental. My style is about my journey throughout life. I encourage yall to visit my IG to see how I perceive the world and my aesthetic!
What’s your dream fashion moment?
To dress up and get swagged up for Yungblud’s concert this year at Red Rocks Amphitheater in my hometown. His music, especially the Idols album, has been a lifeline, helping me heal from the heartbreak of my ex-fiancé leaving me for a wealthier fella and the sting of getting laid off, all in the same year! The album’s themes of love, resilience, healing, and self-acceptance repaired me, reigniting my confidence and love for my unique style.
What would you do with $20,000?
Would use it to pay off the rest of my motorcycle so I can keep it. Around here in Denver it is part of my style and identity 😎. Every week I like to ride around the city and help our community by supporting vulnerable populations that don’t have a roof over their head. I stop in random places and give to those who need it. I love how it feels.I got my studies in public health so this foundation is meaningful. Then save the rest to use for my own living expenses until I can find a new job again
