What makes your style stand out?

In my work, fashion is socially and politically charged. It serves a narrative purpose that extends beyond the life of any individual piece. Every outfit I put together is personified into a character, each existing in their own realm.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

I would love to see my self-portraits published in a clothbound book, all of which are built upon balancing many production hats and a closet full of globally-sourced one-of-a-kind pieces! I’d love to see the pieces I’ve spent years collecting find a new life through my work and the eyes of others.

What would you do with $20,000?

If I were awarded $20,000, I would use it to fund my long-term body of work, ‘Residential.’ Residential is a photographic series that visits the juxtaposition of domestic femininity, reframing womanhood as a force of both spectacle and autonomy. This funding would provide me the opportunity to actualize such a complex, multifaceted series with an intimate level of detail and storytelling to help refine contemporary womanhood.
