What makes your style stand out?

Most, if not all of my pieces are reworked vintage items that I've found and altered or created for my runway shows. I love fashion that tells a story and my style can be read like a book if you look deeper. My last runway show was comprised of pieces made from offcuts of fabrics i had worked with previously. Sustainability in fashion is very important to me and it forces me to challenge myself with each look I put together.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

My dream is to compose a runway show in a way that fully immerses people in Falu's World (my brand). I want to create an experience for my audience to not only see but feel everything. The atmosphere would stimulate the five senses including a soundtrack that I would record myself and a plethora of scents that fill the room with each collection that goes down the runway. To be able to display during Paris or Milan fashion week would be an absolute dream.

What would you do with $20,000?

With $20,000 I would be able to rent a space to use as a sewing studio that could double as a fashion hub for small pop up events. I would host frequent fashion mixers and pop ups when collections are ready and allow other local creatives to do the same. I would also be able to afford more materials to help me advance the quality of my designs and experiment with new types of fabric. The prize would grant me the freedom to take much bigger strides towards my vision of running a hub for fashion.
