Most everything I own is thrifted. I’m eclectic and fun! I also co-founded the Metro Gala (@metrogalanyc) a pop up Met Gala on the subway!
What makes your style stand out?
My style is playful and fun. I love thrifted, vintage, and 2nd hand. I can make a $20 outfit look like a million bucks - styling, fit, and a dash of the unexpected is everything. I collect zany purses, I have a piano, telephone, radio, trash can, and guitar purse, to name a few. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, my mom’s headstone almost said: “Never Buy Retail.” If I’m buying retail it’s usually because my friend is the designer! The world is a stage, and I wear a costume!
What’s your dream fashion moment?
Id love to go to the Oscar’s or be dressed to the nines at the Met Gala. I co-founded the Metro Gala, a pop up met gala style red carpet event that happens the Monday after the Met Gala based on the theme. We now host monthly red carpet Metro Galavants to celebrate different train lines so all the VIPs (Very Important Passengers) can strut their stuff.
What would you do with $20,000?
I’d create more art and invest in my career (I’m an improv singer, writer, and actor) plus expand the Metro Gala even more - we’d love to spread joy and take the Metro Gala around the world! We bring a red carpet to the subway station and cheer you on as you strut your stuff. Everyone deserves to shine and I want to take the spotlight and shine it on YOU!
