What makes your style stand out?

My style is inspired by vintage clothing, and thrifting is my sole method of purchasing clothing. Because I rely on second hand options, all of my pieces are one of a kind, making my style my own. being my main form of creative expression, i have a lot of fun experimenting with different decades, patterns, colours, and textiles. I tend to lean towards a very 2000s look, however I’ve found that my style isn’t characterized by the similarity of my pieces, but rather the ways i make them work.

What’s your dream fashion moment?

I don’t necessarily have a dream moment, but I have a dream mission with fashion. I have high hopes for the leading producers in fashion to take approaches that are fixated on sustainability, rather than increasing the speed of trend cycles. It is our duty to honour the earth that gives us the material to create our clothes, and overconsumption directly rebukes the dignity and integrity that clothes should be created with. I dream of the day we revert to slower methods of production.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would use it to help fund further education in fashion/textiles, gaining further knowledge on the means of clothing production and what it takes to make clothes. I want to learn as much as I can, so I can adequately fight for a cleaner fashion scene, and begin helping to restore respect for those who create our clothes.
